Privacy Policy

ZEPO is a browser-game website operated from Canada. The site is designed to work without creating an account. We do not ask you to create a username or password, and we do not process payments directly.

What ZEPO collects directly

ZEPO does not maintain user profiles, comments, chat, or user-uploaded content. Basic request and security information may be processed by our hosting and security provider when you access the site.

ZEPO also records limited first-party interaction events so we can understand which games and site features are useful. The event payload can include the event name, game slug, a random session identifier stored for the current browser tab, a coarse traffic-source category, the first ZEPO page path opened in that tab, the current ZEPO page path, and elapsed play time. Page paths exclude query strings and fragments. We use this for aggregate product and gameplay analysis rather than to build a personal profile. The event payload does not include an email address, account name, Google search query, full referrer URL, URL query string, or the contents of an embedded game.

Recently played games, saved games, voting, and local preferences

ZEPO may use your browser's local storage to remember a short list of games you recently opened, games you choose to save, and whether this browser has already voted on a game. This lets the homepage offer "Continue playing" and "Saved games" shelves. A local vote cooldown timestamp is also stored to reduce rapid repeated voting. These browser-local values are not synced to a ZEPO account and can be cleared through your browser's site-data controls.

After roughly 60 seconds of play, ZEPO may let you cast a simple thumbs-up or thumbs-down vote. The vote event is included in the same limited first-party event stream described above together with the game slug and elapsed play time. ZEPO does not display a personal voting profile.

Cloudflare Web Analytics

We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to understand site traffic and performance. Cloudflare describes this service as privacy-first and cookie-free, and states that Web Analytics does not collect or use visitors' personal data. Cloudflare may separately use strictly necessary security cookies when certain security or bot-management features are enabled.

Third-party games and advertising

Many games on ZEPO are embedded from third-party game and advertising providers, including GameMonetize and its advertising partners. When you load or play an embedded game, those providers may receive technical information such as your IP address, browser or device details, request information, and advertising identifiers, and may use cookies, local storage, or similar technologies where permitted.

ZEPO does not control the data practices inside a third-party game or advertising frame. Those providers process information under their own privacy notices and applicable law. Our current advertising authorization list is published in ads.txt.

Why information may be processed

Technical information may be processed to deliver games, keep the site secure, measure performance, prevent abuse and invalid traffic, report game plays, and display or measure advertising.

Children and younger users

ZEPO is a general-audience browser-game site and is not designed to collect personal information directly from children. We do not provide accounts, public profiles, chat, comments, or direct messaging. Parents and guardians should supervise younger users because embedded games and advertising are supplied by third parties and may have their own privacy practices.

If we learn that ZEPO itself has directly collected personal information from a child in circumstances where parental consent is required, we will take reasonable steps to delete it.

Your choices

You can use browser controls to block or clear cookies and site storage. Blocking third-party storage may affect whether some games or advertising features work correctly. Where a provider presents a consent or privacy-choice interface, you can use that interface to manage the choices offered by that provider.

International processing

ZEPO uses service providers that may process information in countries outside Canada. Privacy protections and legal access rules can differ by country.

Retention

ZEPO does not maintain a direct account history or advertising profile for visitors. Aggregated analytics, security information, game-provider data, and advertising data are retained according to the settings and policies of the applicable service providers.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when ZEPO adds or removes analytics, advertising, game providers, account features, or other data-processing features. The current version and update date will be published on this page.

If you have a privacy question or a request concerning information processed directly by ZEPO, use the contact channel published by ZEPO. Requests concerning a third-party game or advertiser may also need to be directed to that provider.
